Swatch & Review | Barry M Magnetic | Dark Silver, Burgundy, Blue, Violet

My husband bought me this set of Barry M magnetics for my birthday and I was excited to give them a try. The only other magnetic polish I've used was by Essie and you can read the review of that here. In summary, the Essie one was good, but pricey and I struggled a little with holding the magnet close to my finger without smudging it.

With the Barry M polishes, this isn't a problem as there is a little rest on the lid where you put your finger.

Barry M Gelly Pomegranate with Black and Silver Nail Art Pens

I took these pictures a while ago and when I was painting my toes with this polish this weekend I remembered that I had never posted it up!

This is one of Barry M's first Gelly polishes in a deep pink shade called Pomegranate

Donut Nail Art with Barry M Sequin Effects

I have seen loads of terrible reviews of the Barry M Sequin Effects polishes, but I really liked the look of the pink one so I had to have it! Yes, it's a little odd; it's like little grains of pink sand mixed in with pink goop and hex glitter. It also manages to be more textured than any other textured nail polish I've tried so far!

When I saw it swatched, it looked like pink sugar so I knew when I bought it that I would have to do some kind of sugar candy nail art with it. I decided that with the glitter, it looks most like pink doughnut frosting with sprinkles!

I added a little quote from Homer, "mmm... donut"
